Emily is a graduate student at NYU, specializing in Public Policy with an emphasis on women’s studies. She earned her B.A., magna cum laude, from the George Washington University in 2007.  She has previously worked as a paralegal on health care and environmental issues in Washington, D.C. Her other interests include dancing, cats, bourbon, and David Lynch movies.

Michael is a retired civil rights and environmental litigation attorney who practiced in Washington, D.C. and lives in Northern Virginia.  He obtained his juris doctor degree, magna cum laude, from American University – Washington College of Law in 2001.  He has had a longstanding interest in women’s rights and is the author of the article Women’s Rights and the Global Population Crisis in the Arizona Press book Linking Human Rights and Environment (2003).    In addition, he is an atheist/humanist, vegetarian, and sports fan (of both women’s and men’s sports of course).
